I'm trying to implement a HPI handshake between a windows app and my
c6711dsk.
I have this working without DSP/BIOS, but I can't get it to work using
DSP/BIOS.

I imagine the carrier signal is produced by the demodulator to be
in-phase with the local oscillators.

Your quantization noise will be at the ADCs and DACs, the quantization
noise will be negligible on the 32bit floating point processor. The
AIC23 is 16 bit for each channel if I remember correctly.

I'm guessing that the AIC23 is AC coupled. Does anyone know at what
frequencies this audio codec begin to induce phase shifts? Would below
40Hz be a reasonable assumption? Lower still perhaps?
