Exercises
Copy the STK classes, Clarinet and ReedTabl, to your
project directory. Study, modify, or write new code there to do the
following problems.
- Plot the reed-table output for input argument from -3 to
3 (in small steps) of the ReedTabl class. Verify on your plot
that the slope and the offset in the reed-table correspond to its
default values. Also submit your code.
- Modify the main program from Elecguitar homework,
or any program, which can take the SKINI file
fiddle.ski
as input and play the song with a Clarinet (hint: You only need
to change the instrument). Listen to the effect of changing the
slope of the reed-table and describe the change in timbre, or document
it with spectral plots. Describe how such a change in slope could be
caused by changing one or more physical parameters of the reed.
