An example is the Mini-Opto-Scanner , the smallest industry optical scanner, 140 mm long but only 7 mm of diameter, with micro-LEDs as internal light source, all made in chip-on-board technology, finally connected to TMS320VC5509 DSP for processing the output signal from thousands pixels of image sensor.
