SPORT1 usage in ADSP-2189 EZ KIT Lite - Prafulla - Jan 14 20:56:00 2004

Hi ,
I am working on ADSP-2189 EZ KIT Lite.  ADSP 2189 kit manual says that SPORT0 is connected to AD73322. SPORT1 is connected to the RS-232 interface. I have to give the input data PN sequence of 1's and 0's for my application so, I am not giving it to the Codec input J1. Making use of SPORT1 I have tried to give 1's and 0's from a MATLAB program through SPORT1 using  the commands s=serial('COM1') and fwrite.  But i couldn't succeed. Is this the right way to do orelse for ADSP-2189 EZ KIT Lite we should take the input only through the codec i,e J1.

someone please clear my confusion so that I can go for alternative.

waitinf for ur reply
Regards
prafulla
