Suitable clock oscillators for ADSP-21065L - jcarlosmor - Apr 22 14:44:00 2005
I am designing with the ADSP-21065L but the 3 ns rise and fall times
requirements for the CLKIN seem very hard to obtain from vendors.
Digi-
Key, Newark and some others only sell clock oscillators with longer
rise and fall time. I suppose that those requirements are not
necessary
if I use instead a cristal with capacitors and let the DSP to run its
internal oscillator rather than to use an external clock. Am I right?
Thank you very much for your help.

You could buffer the clock with a clock driver also. Of course, if
you use a crystal that meets the ADI specs, the internally generated
clock will meet specs.
