Query:- Need Help on ADSP( Blackfin Processor BF 534) - Naveen koul - Dec 5 8:03:00 2005
Hello every one,
I am new to this group, and require some info on (Blackfin Processor BF 534).
As I am presently working on vision for automotive embedded systems .I was just looking for
processor which can helpme out and i did found Blackfin Processor.I want to know more abt this
processor and how fast does it processor images.as i was going through it has some video input
as well as output .is this processor best suited for image processing in automotive field or
there is some other processor than help.

Hi Naveen,
I know Blackfin series of processors are good at image processing and take
less power. Since BF534 has CAN interface, it seems to be suitable for
automotive applications. BF534 runs at core clock speed of 500MHz which is
sufficient for running MPEG4 encoder at half D1 or CIF resolutions.
Depending on application, we can even get VGA resolution. Your application
requirements decide if BF534 is suitable.
