SPI - twij...@ec.auckland.ac.nz - Aug 25 8:25:14 2006

Hi all,

I am woking on a project with my project parter which requires the use of a DSP. We are using
the Blackfin (BF533). We require data to be transmitted to the Blackfin from a Microcontroller
t
through SPI but we are very VERY unsure about how to do this.

The Microcontroller is set up to transmit data, but we don't know how to set up the Blackfin
(slave, slck=4MHz, MSB first). Example code that we've seen so far only seem to confuse us
further. What we understand thus far is that there are seven registers which require to be set.

What we require to know is how to implement this code (preferebly in C as our profficiency in
Assembly is dubious at best) i.e. are there any library functions available that we may use for
the registers. We would be extremely grateful for any help regarding this.

Many thanks,

~T.
