Technical discussions related to Analog Devices DSPs (including Blackfin, TigerSHARC, SHARC and ADSP-21xx DSPs).
Hi,
I have implemented Gips ILBC codec on adsp 2185..However I am unable
to find any information on the vad/dtx module..Is that royalty free
as well?? Where can I obtain it?Any information will be greatly

Another question..Does ilbc pass dtmf tone??
thanks

Hello,
Although this seems to be off-topic for this mailing list...
Check
http://www.gipscorp.com/
for the details of GIPS components. In addition, as far as I know it is not royalty free.
As for dtmf, which is still out of topic, I would like to recommend
http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/avt-charter.html
In addition, as I guess you try to build a VoIP aplication with your ADSP. I can say that since
iLBC is an encoding scheme it more or less introduces some distortion to the voice data,
considering that DTMF can be counted to be a voice data when encoded in iLBC. So, it is
possible to say a DTMF detector may fail to detect an iLBC encoded/decoded DTMF data. I can
recommend checking for RFCs 2833 and 4733 for DTMF if you are working on a VoIP.
