problem in JTAG connection - sathish chandra - May 13 9:12:38 2008

Hi All

I am working with the ADSP21xx Processor and trying to connect with the Hardware.

But unable to connect.

 1) I am doing ICE test. In the ICE test i am getting Error.

The Error is : Determining the scan path length is failed

Message is : No JTAG device detected in the scan path. Check target power & verify JTAG signal Integrty

May i know Wether it is JTAG problem or The target problem.

Thanks in Advance

Regards

sathish

Re: problem in JTAG connection - fire...@yahoo.es - May 13 9:59:10 2008

Hi!

Can you specify the problem better? When I have the same problem I can fix it turning off the
computer and starting other time. Or sometimes, writing in the console "tsreset
-normal".

But I don't know if these solutions are valid for you. I can't help you more than this.

Good luck!

Re: problem in JTAG connection - Jaime Andres Aranguren Cardona - May 13 13:04:02 2008

Hello,
Are you using ADSP-21xx (16 bit, fixed point) or ADSP-21xxx (aka SHARC, 32 =
bit, floating point)??
In the former case, you should not use the JTAG based ICEs, but the so call=
ed 218x EzICE, which has a serial port connection.
Please clarify what are you exaclty using, so you can get better advice fro=
m the list.
Regards.
