Need Long Term Assistance for Pro P.A. Line Array Crossover Calculations - oldmics - Mar 2 8:45:28 2008

Hello
New to the group.

Did not even know this group of geeks exisited.

Heres my story.

Pro P.A. supplier here.Big regional rig line array system.

No Harry hi fi stuff here!

Want to explore some different filter uses/crossover points, etc.

Have XTA/DP 448 processing capable of different above functions.

http://www.xta.uk.com/dp428/Bevel%20Frameset.htm

I have tweeked the system so that it sounds much better than the
factorys settings but still have some issues that I need help on.

Issues that I do not know the ramifications of such as changing of
crossover points affecting horizontal coverage pattern depending on
the heigth(length) of the line used.

The reason for the long term help is that its a sizeable system and
wont get used every week.

Dont want to mention brand names for a variety of reasons and most of
the pro guys are not capeable or interested in sharing this kind of
information.

Its like a pissing contest in pro world.

Speakers are 18 for subs,12s for low mids,6" for upper mids and 3-1"
compression drivers for the hi freqs.

I can rattle off the latest settings once I get to the unit,I just
wanted to see if this is of interest to you folks.

Lemmie know,Oldmics
