Technical discussions related to Audio Signal Processing (digital effects, acoustics, noise reduction, musical signal processing, etc).
Hi, All I am working on advance audio coding project. I was asked to implement the decoder using a Fixed-point DSP. My question is how I test my Fixed-point AAC decoder and is there any standard for testing it. thanks for your help regards encai
Hi, there are performance bitstreams and a tool that checks if the decoder output is valid. Links to some reference bitstreams can be found (for example(?)) here: http://www.tnt.uni-hannover.de/project/mpeg/audio/ftp/ Regards, Alexander Encai Liu wrote: > > Hi, All > > I am working on advance audio coding project. > I was asked to implement the decoder using a Fixed-point DSP. > My question is how I test my Fixed-point AAC decoder and is > there any standard for testing it. > -- alexander lerch lerch@lerc... zplane.development http://www.zplane.de holsteinische str. 39-42 D-12161 berlin fon: +49.30.854 09 15.0 fax: +49.30.854 09 15.5

Of course not "performance" but "conformance testing" bitstreams :) Alexander -- alexander lerch lerch@lerc... zplane.development http://www.zplane.de holsteinische str. 39-42 D-12161 berlin fon: +49.30.854 09 15.0 fax: +49.30.854 09 15.5
