Hi all,

Can anybody tell me the Theory and derivation behind the  

unpredictability equation in psychoacoustic model 2 used in mp3 audio encoder ?

Hi,

you might want to check out this thread in music-dsp. 
The equation itself gives the normalized prediction error per
frequency bin.
