please help me...

i have TMS2812 that connected to computer via serial port RS232. When
i choose F2812 XDS510 Emulator in CCS system configurations setup, i
found some problem when i start using CCS that problem is show message
below :

Error connecting to the target:
Error 0x80000240/-2092
Fatal Error during: Initialization, OCS, 
Device driver: Emulation Connection Loss Detected on Target CPU.
It is recommended to RESET EMULATOR.  This will disconnect each 
target from the emulator.  The targets should then be power cycled
or hard reset followed by an emureset and reconnect to each target.
Sequence ID: 0
Error Code: -2092
Error Class: 0x80000240
I/O Port = 240

Board Name: F2812 XDS510 Emulator
Cpu Name: CPU_1

when i click cancel, main windows CCS then show and give a message
that "no device connected".
i dont know why the problem can happen, but all connection(power and
RS232 have connected). Please told me, a solve of problem that i have.

Hi

I think the problem is the RS232 connection. As I know there is no XDS510 existing with serial
port.
If you have a 25 Pin connector it must be a Parallel Port access.
For parallel port you must select F2812 PP Emulator. Choose address 0x378 if you have LPT1 port
on your computer.
If you have no driver then contact spectrum digital to get the PP Driver.
