hi,
I built a pcb for my project. It uses tms320f2809,
I followed steps as per SDFlash Serial RS232 Flash Programming Reference Guide 
when i started to program flash first it connected to device but them flash erase failed.
following messages appeared 

MSG: User must now get target to bootload state
MSG: Interface version 1
MSG: Connecting to target
MSG: Connected to target
ERR: Erase flash failed.

after this i increased time out to 1000 from default 500. and waited around a 
45 seconds but controller started to get heated little bit so i set power off. is it sate to
wait for some more time?

my max232 level converter works on 5v so i'm using a 3.3v zener diode at receiver pin of 2809.


please help....
