Hi all,

I've recently bought a VC33 DSK. I've setup the portio driver for the
paralel port and setup the dsk & compiler package that came with the
DSK (I'm using WinXP). No the actual question comes. When I run the
dsktest.exe it runs normaly and I can see the fft and oscilloscope
screens functioning. But when I try to run the other precompiled
applications that came with the DSK I get every time the same message
diplayed saying that the pin did not go high during reset, and wants
from me to check some points and maybe change the port. As I've said,
everything is ok as far as I know. So, where can be the problem, I've
even recompiled the examples completly but didn't helped. Can anybody
help me to come over this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hello Murat

I have a feeling you are trying to run the console applications.  Console or DOS text/grapohics type applications will not run under  WinXP (or any other WinNT variant) because WinNT does not allow direct access to hardware devices like the printer port.

DSK3DW (windows debugger), DSK3WIN3 (oscilloscope and FFT) and WINWAV3 are the Windows applications that work with all Windows versions.  Source code for those applications, plus Borland and MSVC project files are also given.
