Technical discussions about the TI C3x DSPs (including the C31, C32 and C33 DSPs).
Hello... I am having an issue with a TMS320C33 and I would appreciate some guidance. I am using the TI utility c3xcheck.asm and it is integrated into my boot-loader code. I am seeing failures at -30C to -40C and the self check utility returns a failure code for "ALU Test Integer Error". Is there any way this can be related to anything external to the DSP? I am having a hard time believing that an ALU error can be something outside the chip. I have had some chips returned to TI for analysis and they said they checked out fine, but something just does not seem right. Thank you for your assistance. Is that what you have? Or do you have the commercial grade? > Is there any way this can be related to anything external to the DSP? > I am having a hard time believing that an ALU error can be something > outside the chip. If your chips are not spec'ed to -30C, then results would be undefined. A failure could manifest as anything... an ALU error, an internal memory error... who knows. -Jeff ------------------------------------ OMAP35x EVM jump-starts low-power apps ------------------------------------ The modular and extensible OMAP35x Evaluation Module (EVM) enables developers to start building applications based on the OMAP35x architecture:http://www.DSPRelated.com/omap35x You can post a message or access and search the archives of this group on DSPRelated.com: http://www.dsprelated.com/groups/c3x/1.php _____________________________________
