From anecdotes I hear Vista sucks in the WinXP-compatibility category. I might guess that Microsoft has a hard time to give up their 1990s habit of forcing their customers to upgrade every software and hardware add-in product they own. Having said that, probably Vista is very good software. ------------------------------------ Check Out Industry's First Single-Chip, Multi-Format, Real-Time HD Video Transcoding Solution for Commercial & Consumer End Equipment: www.ti.com/dm6467
I having the same hard days while I was trying c5416 board on Windows Vista= . TI support engineer clearly stated to me that TI are not going to make dsk5= 416 sw to be compatible in Vista enviroment. Two options given :- 1. Give up my Vista and go back to XP 2. Give up my DSK5416 get another DSP dev board ............................... solution is there, and choice is really in my own hand ... consider the cost of getting a new dsp dsk and getting a xp license... I have given up vista. ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Jeff Brower=20 To: Gabriel D=EDaz=20 Cc: c...@yahoogroups.com=20 Sent: Friday, April 18, 2008 9:50 PM Subject: Re: [c54x] CCS and Windows Vista Gabriel- > Recently I installed in my computer CCS V3.3, I have Windows Vista, whe= n > I've tried to run the CCS program just appears an icon in the tool bar > but nothing else happens, is there something else I have to do for use > the CCS on Windows Vista or just this version doesn't workin this OS?
