Simulate with CCS - Author Unknown - Oct 24 14:01:00 2001

Hi there,

can anyone tell me if it is possible to simulate a program in CCS
without being connected to the DSK board.
I'm using CCS 1.21.

Is there a way to switch CCS into simulation mode?
I have some programs that I want to test first before I load them on
the CPU.

Any suggestions.

Thanks Christian

Hi

In the C5000 Code Composer version 1.20 (and the newest version 2.0) which I
have used, you have to run the Code Composer Setup program and
select/install one of the simulators (in my case C55xx or C54xx simulator).
This allows you to simulate and not emulate using hardware connected to your
PC.
