Frequency multiplication on 5410 - Leigh W. Wells - Sep 29 0:59:00 1999

Hello and Good Day,

I have a signal at 40KHz, which I need to convert to 20KHz. i plan to
multiply the 40KHz by a sine wave at 60KHz and filter off the 100KHz
resulting portion to leave a 20KHz signal. I am doing this on a TI
TMS320C5410 DSP. Supposedly there is a sine table in the ROM.

I am wondering about exactly how to proceed. I suppose I need to
multiply each of my values by a value from the sine table, but how do I
go about it? There will inevitably be a different number of values in
the sin table than I have in one cycle of my 40KHz signal ( I am
sampling at about 480KHz).

Your help and advice on how to proceed is greatly appreciated.
