I have the C54x DSK and I am thinking of purchasing TI's C54x EVM. As I understand the DSK comes with the Algebraic assembler and the EVM comes with the symbolic assembler. Is the Algebraic assembler being used seriously? Can I write code in both and be able to link them together? Most of the sample code available is Symbolic except for the demos that come with the DSK. But most of the demos don't work (full of bugs). Ive got some of the demos working but I'm unsure which assembler I should stick with. Any comments would be appreciated? Regards Richard |

Richard: Just so you know, there is a tool that I received with my EVM called MNEM2ALG.EXE, which is a conversion utility from Mnemonic (symbolic) to Algebraic code. I'm not sure how well it works, though, as I have never used it. You could try it to convert you alg cod ot mnem and then link it to your other mnem code. Leigh W.
