Some comments to these topics: 1. Do you have a vector-table in your project. The simulator make a small own vector-table and that the memory and IPTR is set right. Then check the memory: With the simulator you could use the memory free (with nearly no restriction). Check in the .cmd file, that your code is placed right. The emulator uses some SW-Int for debugging. So it is absolute necessay that the vectortable is in the right place. 3. First there is a small function of a FIR-Filter in the DSP-lib. Also is a FIR-cmd in memonic instruction set (an example of this is in the Workshop of TI) When I´m right, the code is in CCS1.2 and is not anymore part of CCS2. This is a very fast written code. I´m nearly sure, that this is a timing issue and I would change the programm using DMA and Interrupt driven FIR-function (someting like ABU-mode describted in the enhance peripherials user guide) 5. First at all, there is a very good appnote from TI, how you have to connect Flash to the C54x (look into the DSP-Knowledgebase and write flash and C54x and you will get it) Yes, it is possible to switch between both. Nowit could be complecated, you to connect and divide the memory. This depends in most times on your general mapping (ovly=1/0). In most cases I set the ovly and do not connect the Adressline D15.
