hi,
  i have written an assembly program for autocorrelation which takes 68k cycles.
  i modified the same and the cycles reduced to 63k. difference of 5k cycles.
  the new asm code was integrated into my main code and when i profile the function, MIPS has
not reduced considerably. 
  why is it so??
