Optimize Assembly Code - Prakhar Vig - May 3 9:35:50 2006

Hi All,

I have written a decoder in C language, write now I am trying to convert
some of the functions in assembly language in order to make it fast.

I am using TMS320C55x DSP processor.

But, when I wrote one function in assembly, instead of making it fast it
made it slow, I don't knoe why. Maybe I am not writing optimize code, As I
am new to assembly code writing if anyone has some guidelines for writing
good optimized assembly code please help me out.

Also tell are there any compiler options to optimize assembly code if so
please tell me.
