Hello, We don't have many GPIOs left and I just want to know whether I can use Data bus as GPIO. I'm using 6412 TI dsp which has 64 bit width data bus and we are using only 16 of the data bus, so rest are not used. Thanks, _____________________________________

Good day to all, My question would sound very elementary to many. Nevertheless, please chuckle, and then help. First let me say few line about myself. I am an engineer - though not an electrical engineer. I am very confortable with programming, C/C++, Assesmbly - no problem. I have fairly good idea as how electronic components works. My my problem is my knowledge is limited when it comes to ...

Hi, I am using a TI DSP C6713. In the design, the McASP1 is connected to the control interface of ADC ADS8556 as well as the serial data interface. I am trying to program the ADC ADS8556 using McASP and have a couple of questions. 1) Can we program the ADS8556 (precision A to D Converter) using McASP? 2) After initialization of McASP, I can see clock and framesync (probed on t...

Hello, I m using TMS320C6416 DSK with CCS 3.3.I want to profile my code. I m using clock() function for this. But it always gives Zero value. I m using it where i want to start my profiling and ends where i want to stop. Saving both values in variables and subtracting them. But again the problem is this it gives zero. i have also used built-in profiler clock but i can't understand its results. H...

Hello, I have a DSP 6416T and i'm using it for calculating the effective value of a sine wave.I've made the default settings in registers, 0x0017 for input and 0x01f9 for output, and when i generate (with a signal generator) a sine wave with 2Vp-p amplitude, on the oscilloscope its only 0.8Vp-p. Does anyone knows why ? Thank you.

Hello everybody, I'm working on a TMS320C6455 DSK board and I want to use the muxed GPIO/McBSP1 pins as GPIO, for both input and output. As a test I tried to toggle one of those pins in order to have a pseudo-clock signal on the pins of the J3 connector that are shared by GPIO and McBSP1 interfaces. Since the latter is enabled at startup of the board and is set to communicate with the AIC23 aud...

We need few quantity of TMS320C6412AZNZ5-500MHz which has a core voltage of 1.2V but looking at various distributors it looks like they have TMS320C6412AZNZ5-A500 which has core voltage of CVDD 1.4 whereas I am looking for core-voltage of 1.2V. Is TMS320C6412AZNZ5-500 still active? TI web-site says that it is active but I am not able to find any distributor who can sell these part. Any help...

Hello, I would like to simplify the power supply circuit to generate 1.26v and 3.3 for DSP. Currently I am using 2 of TPS54310 to generate these voltages. And there are too many passive components I have to used. I would like to reduce the component count. Could you please let me know or recommend me a simple power supply circuit for TMS320C6412? Thanks, -Y _________________________...
