hi friends May i know what is meant by JTAG emulation via PCI?, how to achieve it?, what interface i need, to make communication between JTAG and CCS , other than using XDAS510.... please give me your suggetion thanking you rjnayaka |

rjnayaka, The XDS510 is an ISA bus board. The newer XDS560 is an emulation card that fits to the PCI bus. Using the PCI bus gives better performance, but the XDS560 also has extra features that you might or might not find useful. Raja Nayaka- > May i know what is meant by JTAG emulation via PCI?, how to achieve it?, 1) The JTAG test bus controller is co-located on the board with the DSP, and is accessible over the PCI bus from a host software program (think EVM board and drivers for CCS). 2) A separate PCI card is used that has JTAG test bus circuitry, and the standard 1149.1 14-pin ribbon cable is run to the target DSP board.
