Hi all, A colleague of mine is using one of Dsp Global's Protoplus Lite boards to build an interface to the C6711 DSK. He doesn't appear to be getting any signals from the two Timer pins, address or data pins. The ECLKOUT, Reset and 5v, gnd signals seem to be ok. I saw that the C5402 has a Daughtercard Present signal - does the C6711 need something similar - either in hardware or software, to alert the motherboard that there is a daughtercard attached? many thanks, Adam

Hi Adam, the C6711 DSK doesn't need any presence signal to tell it that a daughtercard is present. However, you should be aware that it is only CE2 and CE3 type of addresses that will be passsed on to the daughtercard site. The TOUT0 and TOUT1 signals are however always passed on. (We use those signals on some of our own daughtercards, Ethernet boards, Codec boards, and RS232 boards) Please note that TI changed the location of the CE2 Chipselect on C6211 and C6711 DSK. The C6711 DSK can be made compatible with regards to this simply by installing a specific resistor.
