EMIF and EDMA. - Dencker - Mar 11 9:50:00 2002

Hello.

I would like to connect a TLC876, which is a rapid ADC, to a 6711dsk. Has
someone ever done that,
or something similar?

I have connected the ADC to the J1 connector on the dsk, i.e. the EMIF. I have
just understood that
a better design would be to use a FIFO between the ADC and the DSP. Before doing
that though, I would
just like to try my present design and se how far I can get. It should be
possible to let the EDMA transfer
data from the EMIF to some memory that is accessible from the CPU. A first
approach could be to trigger the
EDMA with an internal timer.

Am I on the right track?

My concrete question is. What source and destination addresses do I use in the
EDMA transfer.

Regards

Daniel Dencker
