Hello, I need to know jow the CCS which accompanies for example the C5510 DSK differs from the complete version. One important aspect I'd like to know is whether the DSK-version supports JTAG pods, such as the Spectrum Digital xds510pp (with external drivers). Thank you in advance, Antti Kuuskoski

No. The DSK version works only with the DSK board. It won't work with any of the standard XDS emulators. Dear Antti, Yes, the DSK5510 can be used with XDS510PP / XDS510USB emulators from Spectrum Digital. The CCS which you get with the DSKs is actually a stripped down version of the complete CCS. You do not get RTDX support for the DSK CCS. Also, if you have the CCS for DSK 5510, the CCS is limited to supporting only TMS320C5510 processor family only. You will not be able to use the CCS for the entire TMS320C5xxx family. I hope this info helps.
