Double Talk Detector - Author Unknown - Nov 2 4:53:00 2001

Hello friends,

I am working on Acoustic echo cancelletion. I am facing problems in
selecting DTD(Double Talk Detector). In Acoustic case Giegels'
algorithm does not work, i have tried algorithms based on far and
near end energy estimation but their results varies drastically from
signal to signal.
can someone tell me about abt cross correlation methods or any
other algorithm for DTD.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Manish

Hi Manish,
Below are some links to correlation based and other DT
detection methods. Hope they are useful

Re: Double Talk Detector - Bob Cain - Nov 2 18:43:00 2001

Sudarini, can you recommend a text or online paper that would serve as a
definition of the problem solved by echo cancellation? Not
necessasarily a comprehensive treatment of solutions but just something
that clarifies the playing field. Thanks,

Bob

Re: Double Talk Detector - Atanu Guchhait - Nov 15 4:39:00 2001

hi,
there are several methods for DTD like,
1)The Geigel DTD
2)The NCC DTD
3)The FNCC DTD
4)DTD based on Pseudo-Coherence Measure
etc,
Most of the AECs are using FNCC DTD and DTD based on PCM.Try these two.

Atanu

Hi,
What are the differences for a DTD for AEC and LEC
G.168?
What are the diff. algorithms for filtering for LEC?
What should be done for multichanneling?
thanks.

Anyone know of a good journal paper that describes these DTD
techniques?
