Question on power level units... - gt4605c - Feb 4 14:52:00 2002

Hello!

What is dBm0? I came across this unit in G.167, Section
5.2.2.2, "...signal levels between [-30dBm0] and [-10 dBm0] at
Rin...," How do we define the reference level or 0 Transmission
Level Point (TLP) in the context of G.167?

My second question is kinda related to the first. The above
referenced Section goes on to say "...acoustic signals with
levels -4.7dBPa [+- 10dBPa] at Sin."

Now, when we are working with digital signals in MATLAB or
C and compute the acoustic echo using a room impulse response
sequence, how can we check whether or not the signals are
within the specified levels? Is there a way to convert
dBPa to dBm0?? (I am totally lost here!)

Thank you,

-Krishna
