Hi everyone, im currently working on my thesis proposal regarding video stabilization. is there a specific way in which i can actually measure the effectiveness of the output of this prototype, given that there is no ground for what is the real stabilized video (a video sequence with translational, rotational, etc motions) ?

Hi list, I'm strugling with a sampling design problem. It has to do with the optimal sampling density of an image (regular sampling that is). I have an image with patches. Every patch has a different value lets say 1 to 10. I want to have an optimal estimate of the whole image based on N samples. problem is, how to you calculate an optimal N? Using a regular average would yield very va...

Dear all; I am newly study on the neural networks applications in image processing area. I want to cluster an image basically 2 region by the use of kohonen self organazing maps (SOMs). But cannot handle using the matlab nn toolbox. Is there any body who worked on this subject before? Could you please help about the usage of that functions? How i can interprete an image to SOM network and cl...

hi, I have a question about image correlation, i hope someone here can help me.= I'd like to find the correlation image between an image eksempel2.bmp and = a subimage eksempel2mask.bmp using Matlab. my matlab code is: I=3Dimread('eksempel2.bmp'); J=3Dimread('eksempel2mask.bmp'); [M,N]=3Dsize(I); I=3Dfft2(I); I=3Dfft2(double(I)); J=3Dconj(fft2(double(J),M,N)); but then I get ...

hi, I am a bit confused regarding the use of PSNR... Is it absolutely a blunder to compare an original image and its 2D DCT compressed- decompressed version using this metric PSNR?? Can any one give me some appropriate values for PSNR in this case? I want to know if this kind of comparison based on PSNR value is really outdte

Hi folks, I want to project a 3D solid model (say an animal) to the 2D plane to obtain the 2D image WITH EDGES. I can do the 3D to 2D projection to find out the shapes (which is very simple, assume the background is mono-color, you just threshold). But my problem is that diffe

hi all, we are doing a project titled automatic currency identification system . in that while taking photos using web camera we were not able to illuminate all the spot with equal brightness.we are using one of RGB as background. while converting that image in to matrix form we are getting wide range of values for background due to brightness variations .
