Hi, I have to write an algorithm to extract the position of a car from a CCTV stream. Then this can be used to calculate the speed.
We have the camera height, camera distance from the road, and angle between the road and the camera line-of-sight.
 
As far as I can tell its a very different problem if the camera is parallel or perpendicular to the road..
 
is there a standard technique I should be looking at? Can anyone give me any pointers?
