HELP for 2-D wavelet transform - pat_debasish - Dec 2 3:16:00 2005
hello,
i am working on image fusion and i am using neural network and
wavelet transforms method for this. i have lot basic doubts about 2-D
wavelet transform
of images and how algorithms have to be written.if any one has got any
literature dealing with fundamentals of 2-D wavelets and algorithm
please send it to me.

THere is a book on wavelet transforms by Ajit
Bopardikar commonly available in the market that
should help for Beginners.
General introduction there is a tutorial by Robi
Polikar on the net which is really easy to understand.

In my recent book, Embedded Image Processing on the TMS320C6000 DSP, I dedicate an entire
chapter to the 2-D wavelet transform, efficient implementations of the 2D DWT and IDWT, as well
as real-world applications and even source code (MATLAB and C). There are numerous web sites
dedicated to wavelets, try Amara's Wavelet Site for starters.
