Hello every one: I am working multi-cell cellular network; Using Matlab I am able to establish a network of two tier cells with 19 BS and each BS has three sectors. Each sector has one directional antenna. Now my question is that, let my sector of interest is 1 of BS 1. now other 18 BS are interfering sources but not all sectors belonging to them because they have directional antennas....

I want to find the mean value of each image are located in 2 different classes. each class there are 100 images had the extension ". PGM" eg pedestrian class: confident (1). PGM, confident (2). PGM, confident (3). PGM ... pede (100). PGM nonpedestrian class : nonpede (1). PGM, nonpede (2). PGM, nonpede (3). PGM ... nonpede (100). PGM question: why the results of the mean at all? whether th...

Lagrange multipliers in fminsearch

Hi everyone, I have a question about using Lagrange mulitpliers in Fminsearch. For y=f(x) which subject to g(x)=c, a new function y=f(x)+lambda*(g(x)-c) is constructed. Then I use "fminsearch" to minimize the new function. However, it seems that the Lagrange multipliers does not work in the minimization. In another word, the g(x)=c can not be achieved. My input is shown below. Is there...

Dear all, I'm Andrea and this is my first post on DSPRelated. I have a trouble that I can't solve. I have a generic system whose output, in the frequency domain, has a module proportional to the fourth power of angular frequency [ |.| proportional to w.^4 ]. I have to build a FIR filter that compensates this phenomena. So the filter is a sort of lowpass filter decaying with an inverse fou...

Hi, I am trying to find the phase difference between two sine waves using matlab to an accuracy of 4 decimal places. That means I want to be able to detect a phase difference as small as 1e-4 radians. I am using a 12bit A/D. Both signals are of the same frequency(50Hz), and the SNR is 2:1(yes, its a high noise environment). I have tried many different ways but cant get an accuracy of more than ...

Hi all, I want to generate a matrix A with i.i.d zero mean Gaussian components such that the variance of each component in the matrix (a_ij) need to have unit variance. I used randn (M,N). But each matrix component in this case does not have unit variance. Could someone tell me how to generate such a matrix. Thanks a lot ! Regards, Mahadevi

Hi all, I made an IIR filter with its coefficients (a0, a1, a2, b0, b1, b2). I created it in z-domain at MATLAB as the usual standard. Now I want to find its impulse response (h[n]) which is in time domain. Please help me how to do it in MATLAB... I've search syntax to convert it, but I couldn't find one.. Thank you very much for your help...

Hi, I?m currently making a simulation of LMMSE channel estimation for OFDM system using Matlab. To find the LMMSE coefficient we?d use this equation : http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/7605/20080423599a788991f3f8b.png The main problem is I can?t find the correlation matrix (Rhh). What confused me are : 1. Some papers said t Rhh is E(H*H), with H is the channel measurement. But it?s
