Hi,
  My Name is Sagar, I am working on lossless data compression technique recent one, for which
first i want to complete matlab simulation and after that vlsi architecture.
   
  i am mainly concentrating on text data compression using Parallel dictonary LZW+ Adaptive
Huffman coding.
  So, at first i want to do seperately huffman and PDLZW coding and want to compare it with the
combined architecture.
   
  But for that i have to write the code in matlab.I am confused regarding how to read the text
file in Matlab and how to do the coding for it also i have to work here in 8 bit .
   
  Can any one give me some idea.
