In different books and IEEE articles the GMSK IQ constellation diagram is dipicted as a
Circle. but in some books and papers the constellation is shown to be like OQPSK with 4
symbols. do these 4 symbols mean 2 bits per symbols ? if not then what do they represent ? I
havent found a clear explanation as to how the constellation look like a circle/4 symbols.

please help me out, and try to explain how the 4 symbols and the circular constellation comes
into play .
