Hello, I am currently using Code Warrior 6.1.2 for 56800/E, and I would like to upgrade to the latest version (8.1) in order to have the possibility to develop for DSC's not supported by 6.1.2 (for example: 56F8367). Before doing so, I would like to hear opinions about Code Warrior 8.1 for 56800/E: how do you feel with it? Regards, Roberto

Dear all, I am trying to implement a QAM in 56303EVM. I have a weird problem that confuses me. For creating the necessary sine and cosine signals I am using a 16 valued lookup table. When I sent lookup values to the codec (without modulation) I get a nice, smooth sinus/cosinus signals. So my codec is working okey. However when I start modulating the input signal according to constellation ...

I bought a 56303evm for my senior design and have been having trouble getting my pc running Suite56 to find the device. I'm used to using our schools 56311s with Boxview usb. I have a a 56303evm, a parallel wiggler, and suite56. I go to the command converter server and select LPT1, listen port 41475(the default). After that I open GDS56300 and I get a "unable to communicate with default ...

Hello! This may not be the right place to discuss this, but subject is relevant to motorola dsp 56321. At least I could be pointed to right direction. As you may know, there are commercial products for audio processing where such dsp's are nested on a single pci card that fits into personal computer. However, on of the companies that developed this hardware is not willing to support free-lan...

Folks, I want to test the ADC please advice, i'm using codewarrior with PE. Hardware Settings: Connecting GND of frequency generator to EVM kit's GND and positive is connected to ANA0. Is it ok in order to test the ADC? i think i don't need to take care of Vssa or Vref, as Vref is already high with 3.3V and Vssa is internally connected to Vss. To summarize, I'm just connecting...

If you check the 56300 Family manual in section 3.2.1(page 52), you will find your answer... http://www.freescale.com/files/dsp/doc/ref_manual/DSP56300FM.pdf?fsrch=1 On the 56K, operands are _left_ justified. There is an implied decimal point. This means instead of #$1 representing 2^0 or 1 as you would expect, it actually represents 2^-1 or 1/2. Now if you multiply 2^-1 by 2^-1, ...
