56F80X timers - Jarrid Gross - Jan 31 19:08:00 2002

I wish to know if timers are implimented internally on chips that dont
have I/O pins for the timer unit itself.

For instance the 56F803 has pins for only one timer module, but
shows documentation for 3 other timer modules in SFR area, does
this imply that the hardware does exist, and that these timer modules
can be used as software/interrupt timers for program usage? Jarrid Gross

Yes you can use those timers for internal purposes. SDK will also support
those timers (that are present, but don't have pinouts). BTW, DSP56F803 has
four timers A, B, C, and D, where B and C don't have pinouts.
