RTOS_DSP56000 - jorge munoz - Nov 23 17:52:00 2003

Hello all, Yesterday I decide to implement a RTOS for my 56002EVM instead of 568323EVM
that was because I can't find assembler/compiler/linker free.

But anyway................. My question is:

If somebody knows if exist some free RTOS for this family 56xxxx ?

What I know is :

http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/
http://dsp-k.sourceforge.net/

Thanks everybody.........

CodeWarrior is available for free if you can keep your code and data
size under 8K words by following the link in the lower right corner of
http://www.metrowerks.com/MW/Develop/Embedded/56800/ehybrid
for the special edition license.

Hi,

are you sure you want to develop RTOS for obsolete chip? 56000 family is
not in production anymore. To me it looks like wasted time. Instead I would
go for 56800/E (or 56300).

There was some free assembler/linker for 56300 if I remember. An there is
certainly one for 56800. Check:

http://petegray.newmicros.com/
http://dsp56800.sourceforge.net/

Cheers

Hi Jan

Yes , you have much reason !

Yesterday  David send us a copy about all DSP unavailable (56002) , I didn't know that my DSP56002EVM now is very old and out of production.
I have now Metrowerks Codewarrior DSP56800 v6.0 and I will use my new DSP56F8323 Kit.
I will learn this new architecture and the software for design RTOS.
Thank you Jan & everybody for help me.
