Technical discussions about Freescale (Motorola) DSPs (including the DSP56000, DSP56300, DSP56600, 56800 DSPs).

I am looking for a procedure to take a wav file
from my PC and move it to the 56F8300 Demo Board? I know that I need to consider
memory constraints on the Demo Board compared with a wav file size. I am
thinking about trying the G711 or G726 software beans in the Demo Board
software.
For example, I can use "CoolEdit 2000" to open
a wav file and save it as "PCM" or "A/mu Law" file format. The Windows Sound
Recorder can save in other formats such as "Microsoft ADPCM", "Microsoft
G.723.1" , "CCITT A-Law", and other formats.
Better yet, is there a software utility that
can convert wav files to a format that is downloadable to the 56F8300 Demo
Board?
Some help and direction is greatly
appreciated!
TIA,
David
