hi all,

i am new to this group. first of all let me introduce myself to u
all. my name is Praveen. i am post graduate student in Indian
Institute of Information Technology & Management - Kerala. We have a
course in dsp. i was just browsing thru the net and found a lot of
things done on speech codec and audio codec. i am really interested
on those areas. i want to begin with speech codec. one of my friend
is working in a dsp company and he told that most speech codecs use
AMR speech codec and there are of two types Narrow band and Wide
band. I want to start with Narrow band.

He also tolds that if u want to know how they have implemented it u
can get it from 3gpp site and implemented in 32 bit and 16 bit
processors. i searched in their site but didn't find one. i got the
documents which talks in relation with code. i am not able to
understand what is happening in that algorithm.

can anybody out there send me a 3gpp code which implements AMR Narrow
Band Speech Codec which is implemented for 32 bit processor as most
of the dsp are 32 bit.
