Motorola has third party tools companies that provide TCP/IP support
for 56800E devices. Checkout
http://www.unicoi.com/fusion_net/fusion_tcpip.htm for more
information on TCP/IP SW stack as well as available Ethernet
daughter cards for 5685x EVMs.

There is a small, license free tcp/ip stack
at
http://dunkels.com/adam/uip/
It is not specifically coded for DSP56800, but I think it
can be easily ported :( Good luck. It seems to be preety well written,
using a small amount of ram.
In that website there are also links to other free
stacks.
