hi all. i am a newbie to the dsp world. i have been doing
circut deisgns for synthisers replicating old analog keyboards. in looking for some new ideas,
i came across a site that showed all the new dsp's synth manufactures are using and i would
like to start some too. the reason for this post is that i am looking at where to start with
the Motorola 56311 or 56303. as far as programming tools and needed interface hardware.
any help would be great. thanks in advance.

Dear Haven, You might consider using Metroworks' Suite56: http://tinyurl.com/45358 I also welcome you to try our DSP56xxx demo tools available at: http://tinyurl.com/6epko From the same website you can download several examples from the following location: http://tinyurl.com/4xhnd You will have to decide for yourself which suites you best. Hi Henk-Piet I think that these tools do not support the 5680x series. It looked like only these were supported: 560xx 563xx 566xx If Altium ever considers expanding support to the 5680x or 5683xx series, please let us know! Thanks. Dear Rick, Ah, well, never say never but if I'm right Haven mentioned derivatives 56311 and 56303 which should give no problems with neither of the proposed toolchains. Dear Haven, Looks as if you sent the below to me personally. Just echoing it for everyone else to read. My choice would be an out of the box evaluation board rather than assembling my own, but I suppose it depends on the person. If your a wizard with hardware a schematic might do it for you, assuming you know how to tackle hardware bugs.
