JTAG "Cannot connect to Board" - yurubutugralb - Jun 30 16:12:00 2005
Hello all,
Using CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for Motorola DSP56800
version 5.1
targeting the DSP56F805 chip and using Macraigor Wiggler for JTAG.
I can download to the EVM but not to my project board.
Something changed because I used to be able to do both.
Please point me to what levels, waveforms to look for in
troubleshooting.
Thanks in advance!

Did you try to disable the EVM on board JTAG converter
and use on board JTAG header and Wiggler to download
code to EVM? If it works, it means Wiggler is
functional. We have seen such similar problem. What we
did is to add termination or booster on transmission
line. You can try to either use longer parallel cable
(connect two cables together) or short parallel cable.
By the way, check your /reset and /TRST whether they
correctly connected to Wiggler.

check for VCC, GND and any flaky contacts on JTAG header of your project board & its
internal connectivity . Problem looks more towards your project board.
