Hi all, Thanks to all who replied about the 56311. I am also working with the 56307 and I am having trouble communicating with it under NT. What software are people using to use this device? Neither of the DSP Suite 56's (v1 or v2) list the 307 as supported. Thanks, Tom |

Hi Tom, do you use the DSP56307EVM and/or DSP56311EVM boards? If so - there's a 'slight' difference between them regarding the command converter to the JTAG interface: DSP56307EVM uses a DSP56002 to 'connect' the EVM to the development computer running the Domain Technology debugger (www.domaintec.com) using a serial RS232 connection. In contrast the DSP56311EVM is connected by a parallel (printer) port by a command converter hardware similar to the Wiggler hardware sold by Motorola as DSPCOMMANDPARALLEL using the Suite56 software (compare the schematics of the documentation supplied with both EVMs). By the way - version 6.3.4 of Suite56 supports the DSP56307 but you have to use one of the command converters connectet to the JTAG port and disconnect the jumpers of the boards own command converter (I have tried this with the DSP56303EVM sucessfully some time ago). Hope this helps Christian > > Hi all, > > Thanks to all who replied about the 56311.
