Bootloader download speed varies with computer - Pete Becher - Nov 11 14:24:00 2002

Hi All,

We have some computers that take an very long time to download an S
file via the boot loader. What takes about 12 seconds to download on
my computer takes 2 to 4 minutes on other computers in our shop. It
would appear that it may be some type of driver or hardware issue but
I have not found the cause.

Has anyone else seen this and/or found a solution?

If someone were to try the bootloader for the first time on a
computer that had a slow serial port they would think the bootloader
was a pretty useless feature.

Thanks,
Pete
