Use Button at ADC??? - wpethe - Jan 16 17:36:00 2002

Hi,

has anybody ever used the ADC to drive a button?

Now we are going to use 4 ADC ports to connect them with buttons.
Has anybody got an Example?

Thanks

w. Pethe

PS: Then I can use some GPIO Pins for output.

Why not? Use a pullup resistor and ground with a button press. That should
be easy to do.

You might try looking at the FAQ's regarding the DSP56800's ADC unit for
ideas.  Simply goto:

http://e-www.motorola.com/cgi-bin/faq.cgi

Simply select DSP56800 under the 16-bit path DSP's and then do a search for
the category "A/D Converter Module".  The FAQ's contain several examples of
using the ADC in its different modes.

That might help,
