Windows based SR engines available - Author Unknown - Sep 11 12:08:00 2001

Hi,

Currently, I am undertaking a review of all the SR engines both
trained and independent available on an Enterprise platform. By
Enterprise, I primarily mean Windows platforms (also Pocket PC and
WinCE) with speech input via the sound card rather than telephony
hardware. Another important criteria is that the SR engine must have
an SDK available that will allow that product to be utilised in
bespoke development.

I am aware of products by the following firms that fit the criteria I
am looking for;

L&H,
IBM,
Phillips,
Naunce,
Cortologic (chip based system),
VoCollect (embedded in Talkman product),
Speech Technology Centre.

I would greatly appreciate it if the community knew of other
suppliers who supply SR engines that fit my requirements.

If anyone is interested I would be happy to send them a copy of my
report.

Best Regards,

Jon Middleton,
SRC Ltd,
