complexity:

1)An algorithm to detect endpoints for isolated utterances, Rabiner and Shambur
(works well for clean speech only)
2)Autocorrelation based approaches (widely available on the internet!!)
3)Speech pause detection for Noise Spectrum estimation by tracking power
envelope dynamics, Marzinzik and Kollmeier
4)A Semi-Continuous state transition probability HMM-based Voice Activity
Detection, Othman and Aboulnasr.
3)Voice Activity Detection. Fundamentals and Speech Recognition System
Robustness, Ramirez, Segura
