This question is related to DTMF tones decoding. We generaslly use bank of
Bandpass filters  for DTMF tone detection.

I want to request some one to comment on feasibility of an alternative
implementation for DTMF tone detection by using FFT rather than bank of bandpass
filters.

What are advantages and disadvantages of usinf FFT for this purpose.
